THE government of Myanmar has shown great consideration for its citizens facing difficulties abroad. Regardless of the circumstances, the relevant Myanmar embassies and consular offices, in coordination with the respective embassies, are working to ensure that citizens stranded overseas can safely and swiftly return to Myanmar.

In one such case, a Myanmar citizen, Ma Ei Shwe Sin, encountered difficulties while working in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Myanmar embassy, working with relevant authorities of the Department of Immigration, arranged for her to be sent back to Myanmar. She was able to depart on the Riyadh-Muscat-Bangkok-Yangon flight on 25 February and arrived in Yangon at 10:33 am on 26 February.

The Myanmar government, through the efforts of the Myanmar embassies and consular offices, continues to assist its citizens abroad in distress, helping them return to Myanmar. The citizens and their families have expressed their heartfelt gratitude to the government, the embassies, and consular offices for their swift and supportive assistance. — MNA/MKKS
