THE second-day session of the 19th plenary meeting of the Eighth 47-member State Sangha Maha Nayaka Com­mittee was held at the Wizaya Mingala Dhamma Thabin of Thiri Mingala Kaba Aye Hill in Yangon yesterday.

 

Present on the occasion were members of the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Com­mittee led by Presiding Nay­aka Sayadaw of Thanlyin Min Kyaung Pahtamapyan Bud­dhism Learning Aggamaha Pandita Aggamaha Saddham­majotikadhaja Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivamsa, Union Minister for Religious Affairs and Culture U Tin Oo Lwin and other relevant officials.

 

State Sangha Maha Nay­aka Committee Chairman Dr Bhaddanta Candima Bhivam­sa presided over the event, and Joint Secretary Sayad­aw Aggamaha Gandhavasaka Pandita Aggamaha Saddham­majotikadhaja Bhaddanta Pannya Dhaja acted as the master of ceremonies.

 

The Sayadaws reported on Vinicchaya, religious af­fairs and educational matters. The Sayadaws discussed reli­gious and Vinicchaya affairs and concluded the first ses­sion.

 

Sayadaws discussed Vin­icchaya affairs, religious mat­ters and educational matters in the second session at 1 pm.

 

After the meeting, the Thanlyin Minkyaung Sayadaw made decisions and concluded the meeting.

 

The devotees led by Kyaikkasan Wailuwun (Shw­egyin) Monastery Sayadaw Maha Saddhammajotikadhaja Dhaddanta Manita offered the 41st breakfast alms meals and day alms meals to the State Sangha Maha Nayaka Com­mittee member Sayadaws, who attended the ceremony yesterday. — MNA/KTZH
