HLUTTAWS of Myanmar and the Russian Federation will en­hance cooperation.

Chairman of the State Ad­ministration Council Prime Min­ister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing, currently in Moscow of the Russian Federation, held a meeting with Mr Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federa­tion, at the meeting hall of the State Duma yesterday morning.

Also present at the meeting were SAC Joint Secretary Gen­eral Ye Win Oo, Council Member General Nyo Saw, Union Minis­ters U Than Swe, Admiral Moe Aung, Dr Kan Zaw and U Ko Ko Lwin, Myanmar Ambassador to the Russian Federation U Thit Linn Ohn and officials. The Chairman of the State Duma was accompanied by responsi­ble personnel.

On arrival at the State Duma building, the Senior General and his entourage were welcomed by the Chairman of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.

At the meeting, they talked about functions of the State Duma of the Russian Feder­ation, formation of the State Duma and political parties, cooperation between Hluttaws of Myanmar and the Russian Federation, taking State respon­sibilities by the State Adminis­tration Council due to voting frauds in the 2020 multiparty democratic general election, preparations to hold a free and fair election, support of Rus­sia to Myanmar for holding the election, conditions of some po­litical parties harming peace and stability of the State due to taking foreign aid, formation of Hluttaws at different levels in Myanmar and electoral forms, further cooperation between the two countries, and exchange of goodwill visits between the two Hluttaws of both countries. — MNA/TTA
