DEPUTY Prime Minister Union Minister for Foreign Affairs U Than Swe delivered speeches at the meeting with officers and staff who will serve duties at the Myanmar Embassy, perma­nent representative offices, and consulates-general in foreign countries yesterday.

 

In his speech, the Deputy Prime Minister highlighted the key requirements of every dip­lomat for the interests of the country and people: the need to learn the weak points and strengths of other countries and to have communication and ne­gotiation skills.

 

He then urged them to keep enhancing their capacity for be­ing diplomats, encourage chil­dren’s education matters, and make efforts to represent the country.

 

He finally provided instruc­tions to work in unity and learn the international language and the languages of countries where the diplomat service du­ties. — MNA/KTZH
