THE second day of the 2025 matricu­lation examination commenced yes­terday morning, with a total of 208,659 candidates sitting for the English subject across the country, including at overseas examination centres, ac­cording to reports.

 

This year, a total of 817 examina­tion centres were established, com­prising 13 overseas centres and 804 domestic centres. The total number of registered candidates for the exami­nation was 220,843. On the second day, 208,659 candidates sat for the English exam, while 12,184 candidates were absent, resulting in an attendance rate of 94.48 per cent, according to the Ministry of Education. — MNA/MKKS
