Officials from the Myanmar Red-Cross Society visited the fire-affected residents of Hmaikpingon Village in Pakokku Township, Magway Region, yesterday, and provided them with much-needed relief supplies.

On this occasion, U Aung Win, Chairman of the Pakokku District Red Cross Society, Daw Nwe Nwe Mu, Chairperson of Pakokku Township Red-Cross Society, Township Police Chief U Tun Naing, and members met with the fire victims in the village, offering words of encouragement.

Following this, the officials provided fire prevention information, and distributed relief supplies valued at Ks 400,000 to 21 households, benefiting a total of 79 individuals.

The fire, which broke out at 2:50 p.m. on March 5, devastated Hmaikpingon Village in Pakokku Township.—U Kee Lin Pe (IPRD)
