UNION Minister for Legal Affairs and Union Attorney-General Dr Thida Oo met Mr Arnaud de Baecque, Resident Representative of Delegation of the In­ternational Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Myanmar yesterday at the dip­lomatic reception hall of the Ministry of Legal Affairs.

They discussed matters related to translating the four Geneva Conventions from English into Myanmar. They also exchanged views on organizing a work­shop on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) for legal officers from the Ministry of Legal Affairs in collaboration with the ICRC. The deputy minister, and deputy attorney-general and other officials also attended the meeting. — MNA/KZL
