THE Traditional Kachin Manaw Singing Festival was held on 22 March in the Kachin Cultural Manaw Grounds in Ruili, Yunnan Province, People’s Republic of China, according to the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central).
The event was organized by the People’s Government of Ruili Municipality, Dehong Prefecture, Yunnan Province, and took place at the Kachin Cultural Manaw Grounds in Ruili.
Among the attendees were Mr Wei Kan, Governor of Dehong Prefecture, along with his delegation, as well as a team led by Vice-Chairman U Khin U (aka) U Shin Phu of the Myanmar-China Friendship Association (Central) and Chairman of the Muse Branch.
During the celebration, attendees joyfully participated in traditional Manaw dances and shared a communal dinner, fostering unity and warmth among the Kachin people in Ruili. — ASH/KNN
