SAC Member and Union Min­ister for Border Affairs Lt-Gen Yar Pyae inspected the dam­age caused by the earthquake at the Ministry of Border Af­fairs and its staff housing on 28 March.

 

On 29 March, the Union Minister and his team assessed the damage again, instructed relevant social organizations to cooperate in rescue operations, and provided encouragement to staff and their families.

 

On 31 March, the Union Minister and his team oversaw relief efforts at the temporary relief camp set up at the min­istry. He met with employees’ family members at the camp, offered words of encourage­ment, inspected office cleanli­ness, and provided necessary recommendations.

 

The team then visited the staff housing units affected by the earthquake, observed relief operations conducted by relief teams and social organizations, and presented cash to them.

 

Finally, the Union Minister and his team met with affected staff and their families, ensur­ing their relocation to tempo­rary rescue camps as required. — MNA/MKKS
