THE earthquake has resulted in 3,003 deaths, 4,515 injuries and 351 missing persons in the six affected states and regions as of yesterday.

 

Fire Services Department with local and international search and rescue teams con­tinues operations in the af­fected areas. Thus, they have rescued 653 survivors and re­covered 582 deceased individ­uals trapped under collapsed structures.

 

Donors from home and abroad are providing financial and material assistance to the victims. A total of six aircraft from five countries arrived at Nay Pyi Taw International Airport yesterday, carrying 55 emergency response person­nel and 35.505 tonnes of search and rescue equipment and re­lief supplies.
