DAGON Group has announced that it will donate K1 billion as the first step for earthquake vic­tims' rescue and reconstruction efforts.

Aungban Hotel collapsed due to the earthquake, and Dagon Group has been con­tinuously providing relief and rescue services since 28 March using PC-200 excavators and heavy earthmoving machinery. This donation was organized by Dagon Group including MAEX Public Co Ltd for resettlement in Mandalay, Sagaing, Aungban and other cities in southern Shan State, it said.

At 6:30 am on 31 March, MAEX Public Co Ltd, led by the Chairman of the Management Committee, MAEX teams, Da­gon Group, YRYEA members and Medical Team left Dagon Centre 1 in Myaynigon with five vehicles carrying medicine, food, clean water and necessi­ties to the earthquake-stricken areas of Mandalay. — MT/ZN
