Deputy Minister for Information U Aung Hla Tun received a delegation led by Mr Matthew Pennington, Radio Free Asia (RFA) Managing Director for Southeast Asia at the guest hall of Ministry of Information, Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

During the meeting, they openly discussed matters related to challenges that media in Myanmar are facing; global trends in media world with the influence of the technology advances; the important elements for journalists to have skills in covering and writing the news, compliances of Code of Conduct and fairness and to obey current laws; important role of media in democratic transition period, drafting the Right to Information Law and Broadcasting Media rules and regulation. — MNA(Translated by TTN)
