With the aim of poverty alleviation for rural people, a meeting to implement the rural developmental works that have been proposed by public themselves was held at Mese Township Department of Rural Development in Bawlakhae District, Kayah State yesterday.
First, Deputy Township Adminsitrator U Aung Aye Khant gave opening remarks and an official from the Township DRD clarified the undertaking procedures by the department.
Next, head of advisory team for Bawlakhae, Hpa-saung and Mese Township Community-Centered Project clarified the purposes and outcomes of the projects. Then, the attended officials reviewed the projects that were proposed by the public.
The township Community-Centered Project is furnishing infrastructures such as construction of schools, roads and bridges and water supply system to alleviate poverty of the rural people. This year a total of 13 developmental works worth K 144.78 million will be implemented in 11 villages in the township. -Wutt Yee (IPRD)
