A basic training course for maintain and operating agricultural equipment was opened in Minlan Village, Letpadan Township in Bago Region on 27 November.
    

The training course jointly conducted by the Department of Rural Development and Agricultural Mechanization Department is aimed at handling and operating farming equipment proficiently by rural people with any delay in engaging in agricultural tasks. A total of 20 trainees from five village-tracts are being given practical and theoretical training by course instructors from the Agricultural Mechanization Department, said U Htay Zaw, Deputy Staff Officer from the DRD.
    

The DRD has already conducted six basic tailoring courses, three basic motorcycle repair courses and one agricultural and livestock breeding course so far with the aim of enhancing capacity of rural people and creating job opportunities for them.—Zeyar Tun (Gyobingauk)
