Local authorities destroyed 200 motorcycle exhaust pipes that make deafening noise with a grinding machine at a junction in ward-1, Leiktho townsip in Kayin state yesterday afternoon.

The move aims to improve the abiding-by of traffic rules by the local people, not to affect social environment and to prevent traffic accidents.

Officials have been raising awareness about traffic rules among motorcyclists; taking action against those violating the rules.—Saw Wau Kwaw Htoo (IPRD)
