Mahlaing, 29 November

           

A total of 25 trainees from vocational sewing course being run by Mahlaing township Rural Development Department visited the workplaces of garment industries in Thaphan village in Meikhitla township, Mandalay region on 27th November.

 

The visit was intended to give the trainees an opportunity to study the processes of making clothes, said an official from Mahlaing Township Rural Development Department. The trainees studied drawing different designs of clothes, taking the measurements of the customers.

 

Speaking on the study visit, the Township Rural Development Department head U Htay Hlaing said,” in line with poverty reduction work processes being implemented by our department, the Township RDD has been running vocational training courses to help improve the socio-economic status of local people and to provide more job opportunities for them”.—Aung Htay (Mahlaing)
