A mass cycling campaign to mark World AIDS Day was mounted in the town of Pyi, Pyi district, Bago region this early morning. 

The campaign was arranged by Khttaya Bike Club in order to make the public aware of this serious AIDS disease, to fully cooperate with officials in the fight against the disease, to offer comfort to the victims of the disease. And, bicycle ride is a kind of sports which is good for health,  said U Win Naing, chairman of the club. 

A total of 300 cyclists participated in the campaign,  riding bicycles from the starting point in front of bogyoke Aung San statue and into  the independence monument ground in BEHS-1.
 
 Exhibitions of photographs and wall papers on World AIDS Day and entertainment programmes will be staged till 4 pm on the same day.—Min Min Soe (Pyi)  Translated by Aung Zaw Lin
