A ceremony to upgrade a school to the status of middle school was held in Pya Yay village in Thayet towship, Thayet District, Magway region this morning. 

At the event, district Administrator U Tin Myo Latt, township Administrator U Myo Kyaw Kyaw,  township education officer U Win Bo and village administrator U Mya Htay cut a ceremonial ribbon to formally open the school. Then, district administrator U Tin Myo Latt and township administrator U Myo Kyaw Kyaw sprinkled scanted water on the stone inscription of the school.

 It is learned that total of 277 students are studying at Basic Education High School in Pya Yay village.—Zaw Wun Tun ( Aung Lan)
