Magway 10 December

A ceremony to mark International Anti-Corruption Day was held at the town hall in the town of Magway, Magway region yesterday at 9:00 am on 9th December. First, Magway Region Chief Minister Dr. Aung Moe Nyo read out the message sent by the President of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar.

Then, Daw le Le Thwin, member of Anti-Corruption Commission made a presentation about the basic concepts of anti-corruption and works being carried out by the commission, playing a video clip of international anti-corruption day shot by UNDP.

After that, primary and middle school students who won prizes in integrity promotion education programmes performed a song. Then, Magway region chief minister, Magway region Hluttaw speaker and officials presented prizes to schoolchildren who won in essay, singing, poetry and role play competitions and took a documentary photograph.

Also present at the ceremony were Magway region ministers, deputy speaker of the region Hluttaw, Hluttaw representatives, Magway region chief judge, Magway region  advocate general, departmental heads at the region level and staff, members of social organizations, prize-winning schoolchildren and invited guests.—Than
