Myaung Mya 10 December

A mass rally was held in support of a delegation led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu KYi who went to the Netherlands to settle a lawsuit brought against Myanmar by Gambia at International Court of Justice (ICJ) at Mya Kantha Park in the town of Myaung Mya in Ayeyarwady region this morning. 

 First, supporters saluted the late General Aung San and martyrs. Then, writer Htin Lin Oo read out the aim of the rally in support of a delegation led by State Counsellor Daw Aung San Suu Kyi.

 A total of 1500 people including Ayeyarwady Region Hluttaw representative Daw Khine Zin Oo and responsible persons from all religions participated in the rally, holding posters that read “We Stand with Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, We Stand with The State Counsellor of Myanmar”, “Everyone has the duty to protect the interests of the country”, and “ There is no Genocide” .—Aung Min (Myaung Mya)
