Htilin 11 December

A natural disaster preparedness drill was held in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Htilin Township, Sagaing Region on 9 December.

The departmental staff led by Township Administrator U Min Theiddi was involved in the drill which was conducted with the intention of teaching local people the proper procedures for safety measures in order to avert the potential dangers of natural disasters. firefighters, rescuers, policemen, members of the MRCS, volunteers from social organizations people took part in the simulation which was held by using 12 vehicles including fire engines and ambulances.  

The firefighters and the Red Cross members demonstrated how to carry out relief and rescue operations in a creek using three speedboats if natural disasters suddenly occur in the region.—Aung Si (IPRD)
