With the aim of raising awareness among youths of the danger of drugs, the township Information and Public Relations Department organized public talks titled “Youth and Scourge of Drugs” at the hall of Thazin in B.E.H.S-1 in Kawlin Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.

First of all, the township Administrator U Zaw Win clarified the purpose of the talks. Then, officials from the township police station, law officer and Public Health Department discussed the disadvantages and danger of narcotic drugs, offences and penalties for drug cases and prevention measures against drugs, and shared knowledge about the scourge of drugs and answered queries raised by those present on the occasion.—Myint Tun Min, IPRD
