Inauguration ceremonies of rural electrification structures were held in Waboechaung and Ingon Villages in Pinlebu Township, Sagaing Region on 24 December.

At the ceremonies, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Min Naung, Regional Lawmaker U Than Hlaing, Chairman of the township management committee U Khaing Lin Naing, the commander of the township police force Police Major San Lin formally opened the electrification facilities. Next, the legislators and the chairman of township management committee delivered speeches. An official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise shared knowledge about don’t and doe’s and distributed pamphlets to local people.
Pinlebu Township consists of 266 villages. Rural electrification tasks are being carried out in 19 villages in the township under the National Electrification Plan (NPE). 80 villages have been facilitated with electricity so far, according to an official from the township ESE.—Myo Lwin (IPRD)
