A ceremony to open a refresher training course for auxiliary firefighters was held at the office of village Administrator in Dakushiza Village, Puta-O Township in Kachin State yesterday.
Firstly, the state Hluttaw Representative U Yaw Si and the township Administrator U Thant Sin made opening speeches. Then, an official from the township fire brigade clarified the purpose of the course and explained the discipline of the training and presented uniforms to the trainees.
The training course is conducted with the aim of ensuring fire safety and carrying out natural disaster protection, search and rescue operations.
The 26-day training course which will run from January 6 to 31 is being attended by 50 trainees.—San Thit, Township IPRD
