Yangon, 11 January
A ceremony to open a new sports hall, donated by Korea’s Seok Sung Scholarship Foundation, was held at B.E.H.S-3 in Thanlyin, southern district, Yangon Region yesterday.
First of all, MP of regional Hluttaw U Nay Lin Aung, officials from Seok Sung Scholarship Foundation and Ministry of Education and Sports and head of the school cut a ribbon to formally open the hall.
Next, students from B.E.H.S-3 performed a song and chairman of school development committee U Myint Win gave opening remarks. Then, Minister for Ministry of Yangon Region Social affairs Naing Ngan Lin, donors from South Korea delivered speeches and then handed over the documents related to the sports hall to head of the school.
This was followed by the presentation of certificate of honor to donors from Korea by Minister of Social Affairs U Naing Ngan Lin, the region Hluttaw Representative U Nay Lin Aung and officials. Afterwards, they posed for a group photo together with donors.—Thet Khaing (Thanlyin)
