A ceremony to open a new school building at Basic Education High School in Ngachauk Kyun village in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region was held at the school yesterday morning.

Magway Regional Chief Minister Dr. Aung Moe Nyo, Speaker of Regional Hluttaw U Tar, MP U Tint San of Regional Hluttaw, Regional Education Officer Daw Khin Than Oo, District Administrator U San Htay, District Education Officer Daw San San Aye and school development committee U Khin Maung formally cut the ceremonial ribbon.

At the ceremony, Regional Chief Minister and Speaker of the Regional Hluttaw gave opening remarks and MP of regional Hluttaw also clarified the procedures of rural developmental works that are being undertaken. Then, Regional Education Officer clarified the procedures that are being implemented for development of education sector.

Next, a responsible person from the construction company handed over proper documents relating to the school building to the Township Education Officer. On behalf of local residents, member of school development committee U Khin Maung also spoke words of thanks.

The school facility which is 100 ft in length and 30 ft in width was constructed with K 109 million allocated by funds of Pyidaungsu in 2018-2019 FY.  In 2019-2020 academic year, a total of 293 students are studying in the school.
