A fire drill, jointly organized by the township Forest Department and Fire Services Department, was conducted in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the natural disaster at the compound of Forest Department in the town of Htigyaing, Katha District, Sagaing Region yesterday.

Firstly, an official from the township Fire Services Department clarified the purpose of the drill and disseminated knowledge about the risks of fire. Afterwards, firefighters demonstrated how to use fire extinguishers and fire engines when a fire breaks out in the area. 

Then, staff from Forest Department practically extinguished the fire at the drills.—Ye Lin Tun, IPRD
