A ceremony to provide social pension to elderly citizens was held at the meeting hall of General Administration Department in the town of Minhla, Bago Region this morning.

At the event, the township Administrator U Myo Nyunt and an official from Department of Social Welfare under Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement dispensed K 24720000 to senior citizens in the township.

Altogether 824 senior citizens who are eligible for social pension in 60 village-tracts in the township received K 30000 each for the month of October, November and December.—Pauksa (Minhla)
