A ceremony to launch a suspension bridge in Lae village in Saw Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region was held at the bridge this morning.

At the ceremony, Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation U Win Maw Htay and MP U Kyaw Myint of No.2 Constituency of regional Hluttaw U Kyaw Myint gave remarks. Officials from Magway Region and Saw Township Departments of Rural Development clarified the salient points of the bridge construction.

The Regional Minister for Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation and officials from the Regional Department of Rural Development and responsible person of the project formally cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The bridge which is 200 ft in length, 6 ft in width and 22 ft in height was constructed with K 28.146 million allocated by funds of community-centered project and K 12.164 million contributed by local people.
