An inauguration ceremony of a rural electrification facility was held in Naung Gyan Village, Waw Township in Bago Region yesterday afternoon.
    

On the occasion, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Tin Htwe, Regional MP U Myo Kyi, an official from the Electricity Supply Enterprise, and a village administrator unveiled the signboard of the rural electrification structure by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and sprinkled scented water on it. Next, the lawmakers delivered addresses, the village administrator explained matters relating to the rural electrification facility and a village elder spoke words of thanks.
    

Residents from over 150 households are now enjoying electricity from a 200 KVA transformer that was built by the Ministry of Electricity and Energy under its National Electrification Plan (NEP). Arrangements are being made to ensure electricity in the remaining villages in the township.—Aung Myat Lin (IPRD)
