In commemoration of the 105th anniversary birthday of Bogyoke Aung San, Myanmar’s independence architect, reading skill and story-telling competitions were held at the community centre of Masae township Information and Public Relations Departments in the town of Masae, Balkhe district, Kayah state this morning.

At the event, the township IPRD head Daw Saw Wut Yi said that the aim of the competitions is to remember Bogyoke Aung San forever as the independence hero as well as the founder of the union who sacrificed his life to pull the country out of colonial rule. A total of 25 schoolchildren at primary school level competed in the reading skill and story-telling competitions.

Prizes were presented to those who won the competitions by the township Women Affairs Chairman and the township IPRD head.—Wut Yi (IPRD)
