Bago Regional Chief Minister and departmental personnel made an inspection at the construction site of Sittaung Bridge (Yedashe) yesterday afternoon.

First, officials from Bridge Special Unit-6 clarified the salient points of the construction at the briefing hall and the Regional Chief Minister attended the needs of the construction. Then, the officials observed the construction situation of the bridge.

The construction of bridge which is 800 ft in length, 24 ft in width was started on 28 May 2018. The project is being conducted with K 5542 million allocated by funds of Pyidaungsu and Regional Government.

Now, the construction has been completed by 72 percent and it is estimated to complete at the end of October 2020. Upon completion, local people can easily travel to Kayin and Kayah State from Bago Region.
