With the aim of increasing family income and creating job opportunities, Tanai Township Department of Rural Development opened a basic sewing course in Lamone village in Tanai Township yesterday morning.

First, an official from Myitkyina District Department of Rural Development clarified the purpose of the course opening and an official from Kachin State Department of Rural Development presented teaching aids to the trainer. Then, one of community leaders also spoke words of thanks to the officials.

 A total of 20 trainees nearby the villages are attending the course which continues until 29 March.

Present on the occasion were officials from Department of Rural Development, Township Management Committee, departmental personnel, members of Township Maternal and Child Welfare Association, village and ward administrators, trainers and trainees.
