Moenyo, 4 March

As part of efforts to implement preventive measures on strong winds for the fiscal year 2019-2020, staff from the Department of Disaster Management made a field trip to compile the number of houses likely affected by the natural disasters in Moenyo Township, Bago Region on 3 March.

The DDM staff led by Staff Officer U Min Thu Maung compiled the list in cooperation with members of the township Red Cross Society, volunteers from a local philanthropic organization, and village officials in four villages.

They gathered information about the number of houses and homes living by elderly people that once have been affected by natural disasters. The would-be storm victims will reportedly be furnished with construction materials this month.—Pauk Sa (Minhla)
