On the Full Moon Day of Tabaung, Buddhist people did meritorious deeds at the pagodas and temples in Mandalay.

Led by Bhadanta Okahtathe, the presiding monk of Maha Muni Buddha Image’s board of trustees, the Buddhist people offered water and gold-foil robe to the Buddha image. They also kept the Sabbath and donated offertories to the monks.

At the Maha Lawka Yan Hnein in Chanayethazan Township, many pilgrims made Thanakha lotion to wash the face of Buddha image.

Moreover, other pagodas and temples were filled with the visitors for their meritorious deeds, including ritual chanting and meditation.—Tin Maung (Mandalay Sub-printing House)
