No casualties were reported in a house fire in a village, Ye Township in Mon State, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.
    

The fire broke out in a house of a woman named Daw Than Mya from Ward-3, Motkanin Village in Ye Township at about 4 p.m. on 22 June. The blaze was completely extinguished by firefighters with the use of 18 fire engines at around 5:15 p.m. The fire is believed to have started from an overheated electric wire and engulfed 18 nearby houses.
    

Action has been taken against the house owner over fire negligence by the local police station.
