A ceremony to provide cash aid to people with irregular income and senior citizens above 85 years was held at the meeting room of the township General Administrator Department in Taungdwingyi Township Magway Region yesterday.

At the event, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Min Thein and the Township Administrator U Aung Min clarified the purpose of cash aid to people with irregular income and social pension to elderly people in the township.

Under this cash aid program, people with irregular income from 4345 families in the township received K 15000 each, and 1508 senior citizens who are eligible for social pension in the township received K 60000 each including social pension and additional cash aid amid the outbreak of COVID-19.

Also present on the occasion were the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Min Thein, Regional Hluttaw Representatives U Zaw Min Tun and U Win Myint Hlaing, the Township Administrator U Aung Min, departmental officials and ward and village Administrators.—Aye Moe Moe Myint, IPRD
