Local authorities provided cash assistance flood victims in Taninthayi Township, Taninthayi Region on 9 August evening.
A group of local officials led by the secretary of township disaster management committee Deputy Township Administrator U Min Than Htike Soe, visited temporary rescue camps and furnished the flood victims with cash assistance. A total of 11 households from low-lying areas in Taninthayi Township removed to two temporary relief camps on August 6 after the water level of Taninthayi River reached its danger mark.
44 flood victims were supplied with K 2,100 each. Local officials presented K 92,400 to the flood victims during the visit.—Nang Tharyi Htein Win
