A ceremony to present cash aid provided by the government amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic to the grass roots was held at the meeting room of General Administration Department in Shwegu Township, Bhamo District, Kachin State yesterday.
At the event, Minister of Bamar Ethnic Affairs U Khin Maung Myint (a) U Deik delivered a speech. Next, Minister of Shan Ethnic Affairs U Sai Sein Lin clarified the purpose of the provision of cash aid for local people who have low income amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic.
Afterwards, Minister of Bamar Ethnic Affairs U Khin Maung Myint (a) U Deik handed over K 142.3 million to the township Administrator U Toe Toe Win. Under this cash aid program, 7119 households in Shwegu Township received K 20000 each. Next, Yaelekya Village Administrator U Win Min Than spoke words of thank to officials on behalf of local people.
