A ceremony to provide nutritious food and cash aid to children, pregnant women and grass roots was held in conjunction with a knowledge sharing event about the dangers of COVID-19 at the meeting room of the district People’s Hospital in Laukkai, the Kokang Self-Administered Zone, Shan State (North) yesterday.


At the event, Patron of the state Women’s Affairs Association and Maternal and Child Welfare Association Daw Nan Shwe Myint and members met with the district medical superintendent Dr. Zaw Tun Nyein and staff at the meeting room of the hospital and provided powdered milk to children receiving treatment at the hospital and K 20000 each to ten pregnant women.


Afterwards, Daw Nan Shwe Myint and Dr. Pae Sone from the district hospital shared knowledge about the danger of COVID-19 pandemic.


Next, Daw Nan Shwe Myint presented cash aid provided by the government amid the outbreak of COVID-19 pandemic to 50 grass roots including 15 men and 35 women from ward-3 in the town of Laukkai.
