UNION Minister for the Office of the Union Government U Min Thu conducted a field study with the relevant officials on 17 August and 18 August in Zabuthiri, Dekkhinathiri, Pobbathiri, Zeyathiri, Tatkon, Pyinmana, Lewe and Ottarathiri townships.
The Union Minister and party inspected the preparation of sub-election commissions in villages, wards and townships for the eligible voters can cast their votes for 2020 General Election and coordinated in the administrative process to support the preparation.
The Union Minister told the officials from the General Administration Department and the election commissions that the field study was to find out the real difficulties and to coordinate for the complete and correct voter lists at the second voter lists announcement for the upcoming elections in November.
The Union Minister also said that the ministry was cooperating with the relevant departments and local election commissions for the complete and correct voter lists for every eligible voter to cast their votes; the Union Government, Nay Pyi Taw Council, local governments and election commissions were cooperating to correct incomplete voter lists in the first edition. The Union Minister urged the relevant personnel to help the election commissions for ensuring accurate and complete second voter lists.
