A groundbreaking ceremony for construction of staff housing was held at the precinct area of the University of Lashio in Lashio, Shan State (North) this morning.

The staff housing targets teachers of University of Lashio, Technological Univeristy, University of Computer Studies and University of Education in Lshio to be convenient for their accommodation.

At the ceremony, Shan State Chief Miniser Dr. Lin Htut, Commander of North Eastern Command, State Ministers and departmental personnel drove the stakes at the designated areas for the construction and sprinkled the scented water on the stakes.

Next, a responsible person from Myanmar Imperial Vega Company and State Minister for Social Affairs Dr. Myo Tun clarified the processes of the construction. Then, the State Chief Minister and officials observed the construction sites of three-storey building in the compound of the University.
