Thilawa Special Economic Zone has been already implemented in Myanmar since November 2013. After commencing the Thilawa SEZ, it engages most of foreign investments from neighboring countries. 

 

Authorities are arranging to furnish the necessary processes for the investors to be convenient for their businesses. The investors do not need to go to relevant government departments for their businesses. They need to go to One-Stop Service Center at the Thilawa SEZ where all of the necessary approvals and registrations that can be done at one place.

 

Those who have completed company registration at Thilawa SEZ have to apply (i) Stay Permit (ii) Foreign Registration Certificate, (iii) Multiple Journey Special Re-entry VISA (MJSRV) or Single Re-entry VISA (SRV) through the Front Office of OSSC. If the visa application process is completed before noon time, other procedures will be completed in one day. However, the application process is not finished before noon time it will be completed on the next day.—MDN
