Phyabon, 8 February

Ceremonies in commemoration of the birthday of Bogyoke Aung San, which falls on 13 February, will be held in the town of Phyabon, Ayeyarwady Region by individuals and organizations such as townselders, “Paetinthan” philanthropic football team, Saya Zaw Gyi centenary library, relevant departments at district and township level.

The ceremonies include a show of 100 books and 100 photos about Bogyoke Aung San, the erection of Bogyoke Aung San statue, centenarian documentary show, documentary films show, poem reciting competition for Kindergartens, reciting competition of excerpts from Bogyoke Aung San’s speeches for middle and high school students, music show, sport meets and literature talks.

A thousand of broaches and pamphlets will be given to the attendees whereas a thousand cup of coffee and Indian flat bread with boiled garden pea will be offered to the attendees.—Thu Zaw New
