A total of 132 acres of mung bean have been planted in Pwintbyu Township, Magway Region this year’s winter crop growing season, according to Daw Moe Moe Wei, staff officer of Pwintbyu Township Agriculture Department. 

In Pwintbyu Township, a total of 132 acres of mung bean have been designated to grow in this season to ensure food security and boost the income of farmers in the Township, according to Daw Moe Moe Wei.

In order to meet the target area, officials from the Township Agriculture Department are making field trips and sharing knowledge on agricultural techniques such as providing good quality seeds, systematic ways of growing and prevention of pest infestation to farmers in collaboration with relevant departments.—Hlaing Win Lay(Pwintbyu Mye)
