The enrollment process for the 2025–2026 academic year in basic education schools across Minbu (Saku) Township, Magway Region, has been ongoing since 22 May. As of 28 May, a total of 27,726 students have been enrolled without incident, according to the Township Education Officer’s Office.

The enrolled students span kindergarten through Grade 12, and include 1,839 primary school students, 6,762 middle school students, and 2,574 high school students. The registration process is being carried out under the supervision of school heads and teachers.

As part of the enrollment initiative, students are receiving school supplies such as pens, pencils, notebooks, and textbooks. Additionally, kindergarten and primary students are being provided with free school uniforms, the Township Education Officer’s Office reported.— U Win Naing
