3 people injured in fire triggered by gas lighter explosion

Three people were injured in a fire caused by a gas lighter explosion in Dagon Myothit, Yangon Region on Tuesday, the Ministry of Home Affairs reported.

The fire broke out in a house in Ward 108 in Dagon Myothit (East) at around 10:40 a.m. on 29 January. The fire is believed to have started from a gas lighter blast in the kitchen while the house owner identified as Daw Aye Mon, 47 years was cooking rice. Three people including the house owner were hurt in the fire.

An investigation into the case is ongoing by the local police station, the MOHA said.—MOHA
