THE 42nd Kason water pour­ing festival will be held on the full moon day of Kason, 1387 ME (11 May) at the Shweda­gon Pagoda, the Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees stated.

 

The opening ceremony will be held grandly in the northeast corner near Maha Bodhi Tree starting from 7 am, with the presence of monks, members of the trustee board, staff and Buddhist religious teams.

 

The Shwedagon Pagoda Board of Trustees notified that teams and staff will help pil­grims pour sacred water onto the Bodhi banyan Tree, and devotees, monks and nuns are invited to participate in the Ka­son Water Pouring Festival. — NN/KK
