A ceremony to mark the 67th anniversary of the Kayah State Day took place at the town hall in Mese, a border town in Kayah State this morning.
At the ceremony, Township Administrator U Myo Thant read out the message sent by Chief Minister of Kayah State U L Phoung Sho. Next, a talk on development of ethnic literature and culture followed. The participants discussed traditional customs of ethnic tribes, their costumes, literature and cultural heritages.
The guests were entertained with performing traditional dance and demonstrating the rice grinding activity by ethnic cultural troupes.—Wutyi (IPRD)
