A ceremony to mark 72nd Shan National Day was held at the Township General Administration Department in Hopong, Pa-O self-administered Zone, Southern Shan State this morning.

At the ceremony, officials from the Pa-O self-administered zone, departmental personnel, members of ethnic literature and cultural organizations, members of the Women’s Affairs Association and Maternal and Child Welfare Association, heads of villages and wards gave salute to national flag and fallen martyrs.

Afterwards, an official from the Pa-O self-administered zone read the message sent by President U Win Myint for the Shan National Day. In addition, Hopong Township administrator read the message sent by Shan State Chief Minister Dr. Lin Htut.

Afterwards, the attendees, officials from governmental departments and Pa-O self-administered zone had a documentary photo taken to mark 72nd anniversary of Shan National Day.
